Foreword / by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. -- Introduction / by Dr. Judy Mikovits -- A scientist at sea -- A rebel from the start -- The dead doctors--what is real? -- The fate of those who fight the darkness -- Is the government a friend or foe? -- The blood working group and the Cerus boondoggle -- VP62--the clone assassin -- My identity stolen in vaccine court -- What I really think about HIV and Ebola -- My coauthor gets banned from Australia -- The way forward -- One more story I should probably tell.
Summary: Like many women who have trespassed into the world of men, Mikovits uncovered decades-old secrets that many would prefer to stay buried. From her doctoral thesis, which changed the treatment of HIV-AIDS, to her discovery of a new family of human retroviruses, Mikovits has seen the best and worst of science. When her investigations questioned whether the use of animal tissue in medical research were unleashing devastating plagues of chronic disease she saw science at its worst. If her suspicions are correct, we are looking at a complete realignment of scientific practices, including how we study and treat human disease. -- adapted from jacket
